South Eastern Australia Made from a blend of Shiraz, Mataro and Grenache. Bright crimson in colour with a youthful pink edge. The nose shows subtle spice aromas paired with sweet cherry and berry fruits. A soft vanillin note adds depth and complexity. Berry flavours follow from the nose onto a palate of good depth, intensity and complexity. A touch of spice and liquorice enhances the plum and red summer fruit flavours making for an elegant finish. Serve slightly chilled in summer. An ideal partner with pizza or pasta.

King Valley, VICCrimson in colour, the wine has lifted aromas of blackberries, cherries and hints of delicate oak. The palate is rich with berry fruit flavours, a juicy mouth feel and fine persistent tannins. Best enjoyed young, this wine is superb as a barbeque wine, matching well with barbecued gourmet sausages served with mixed leaf salad and fresh crunchy bread. Similarly, it is the perfect partner to a simple pasta dish brimming with fresh tomato, chargrilled eggplant, herbs, black olives and a generous splash of good quality olive oil.

(King Valley, Vic)A very unusual blend whcih seems to work perfectly. Medium bodied and utterly savoury, more European than Oz, making for a superb contemporary food style.’In some ways this is the ultimate slurpable drop, though it does taste a bit different - so be brave. It’s fresh and tangy, with ripples of cherries and plum-like flavours. Sour, meaty, spicy elements make it enormously interesting and good with a wide range of winter food.’Campbell Mattinson, The Australian Way, Qantas Magazine, June 2006
