KINGSTON PETIT VERDOT 1999 (375ml)
Monday, May 19th, 2008
This is a very well made wine and more than just a tasting curiosity. Deep crimson mauve colour. Exotic aroma with very strong notes of spice, cloves, violets and rosepetals. The palate is mouthfilling, with distinct flavours of cloves, mixed spices and berries with a strong spicy blackpepper back palate and just a hint of earthiness. The wine displays excellent depth and concentration of flavour, fine tannin structure with a very dry grip that lingers.

VictoriaAromas of fresh, ripe cherries and plums. With fruit sweetness on the palate, it is soft and juicy with a refreshing spritzig finish. A sip of this wine reminds you of summer berries in a glass – the sensation of a ‘berry explosion’. The mixture of fine tannins and natural fruit sweetness gives this wine an elegant texture. This wine is best enjoyed when young and well chilled.
